Play

Play as a powerful dragon and save the world from an evil race of dragons. Unfortunately the game is monotonous and at times quite dull.

When you start playing this game you control a small dragon that is not very strong or powerful, but soon you will change this. Early on you encounter an old, powerful dragon, and he teaches you all you need to know to defeat the evil dragons. First and foremost you learn how to move and attack during battle. All the fights in the game are virtually identical. You choose which body part to attack, and then you have to connect different lines on the screen in order to increase the force of the attack. After a while of doing the same thing over and over again, boredom soon sets in.

Your dragon will grow as you progress in the game, and you can choose how you want the dragon to develop – among other things the look of the body parts and the colour of the skin. You also have the possibility to upgrade your attacks, in order to make them more damaging. Sometimes you are given special missions, but these are very similar and not very challenging. Most of the missions are about killing evil dragons and setting fire to special crystals. You also have to find certain places and open portals.

The graphics are of medium quality. Now and then the background jars and the dragons are at times blurry and pixelated. The controls are difficult, and you might find it hard to get your dragon to fly where you want it to. In order to attack you have to do specific movements with the controls, and when the game doesn’t respond to your movements you’ll soon get frustrated. The classical music in the game is quite fitting, and sounds nice.

Child Suitability:
”Combat of Giants: Dragons” is an action game where you fight against dragons. There is no blood, and the fights are never brutal. The game isn’t very difficult, apart from a few fights, but this shouldn’t be a problem for children from 10 years. You are given good instructions on how to play, and the game is easy to understand. However, due to the lack of variation and the somewhat poor quality of the game, we cannot recommend it.

Level of difficulty:

3-6 years: Under the age limit.

7-11 years: The game is a bit difficult for this age group.

12-15 years: The game is suited for this age group, but the game lacks variety and soon gets monotonous.

16+: The game is too poorly made to appeal to youths in this age group.

Suggested age: Suitable for children from 10 years.Combat of Giants: Dragons
