Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
24.11.2011
Kill or be killed. The new game in the infamous Call of Duty franchise continues where its predecessor left off. This game should not be played by anyone younger than the age of 18.
As you start playing, you can choose from three different modes of play; completing short missions within a time limit and according to certain rules, a story mode which continues the story from the previous Modern Warfare game, and, most importantly, the multiplayer mode, which allows you to play online with millions of MW3 players from all over the world.
Compared to the previous release, there really isn’t much new to this game. There are some new settings, menus and weapons, a few new multiplayer mode levels, as well as a few other changes.
The multiplayer mode is undoubtedly the key part of the game. Your task is quite simple: Kill everyone on the opposing team. You score points according to your number of kills, how you kill, how many kill assists you get, and whether your team wins or not. The points you earn help you upgrade your military rank and get better weapons and equipment. Playing online is quite addictive, and will most definitely deprive many a player of a good night’s sleep.
The graphics are impressive, and the level of realism in the violence is daunting. The game turns war into entertainment and contains an infinite number of highly bloody scenes. As well as this, the game may cause a wrong impression of death, as you simply reappear somewhere else after you get shot to pieces.
This adrenalin pumping action game is highly appealing to young men and boys who enjoy first person shooters, but due to the extremely graphic and violent nature of the game, we strongly recommend that no one under the age of 18 is allowed to play the game. It will leave its mark in young people’s minds, and they should not be exposed to any part of it.
