The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
09.05.2012
Zelda is one of the most popular game franchises ever, and this game proves why: "Zelda Skyward Sword" is an amazing adventure game.
Nintendo launched its first Zelda game back in 1998, and it was an immediate hit. This game builds on the same concept that have made all the previous games a success; excellent graphics, great functionality and a fascinating world of adventure and riddles.
You play as the elf ’Link’, and the adventure starts in the city of Skyloft, which is visually stunning and exciting to explore. On the back of an enormous bird of some kind, as well as on other devices and creatures, you’ll fly through the air, through different saga landscapes.
The game consists of a journey, in which you’ll experience a series of adventures and encounter both new and familiar creatures. On your way, you’ll have to solve a wide variety of puzzles, several of which demand some patience and reflection to figure out. Patience is a virtue in this game; though, you can get some help. ‘Fi’ is a spirit who lives in your sword, and she will be able to help you. A talking rock living in Skyloft may also prove helpful, as it can display short videos on how you solve certain puzzles. As you play, you’ll get new tools that help you progress, and you always get good instructions on how to use these tools.
We think "Skyward Sword" is an excellent Zelda game: Fascinating graphics, excellent functionality, great music and a decent plot that takes you through the various landscapes. It comes highly recommended.
You’ll need Wii Motion Plus to play.
